Poetry

This anthology is divided into three sections: Classical; Modern; and Experimental. The Classical poems focus on popular fictional and non-fictional figures and events from antiquity up to the early twentieth century and are composed in styles that are sympathetic to poetical modes that were in vogue during the periods that the figures and events are set in. The Modern poems deal with more contemporaneous topics and themes that would be common place to today’s reader and are composed in styles that owe no particular allegiance to mainstream poetical norms. The Experimental poems incorporate diverse themes, figures and influences spanning the sublime, such as Shakespeare, to the ridiculous, such as the sense of discomfort we all feel in the dark recesses of an underground car park at night. All the poems are however bound by the poet’s gripping passion to tell a story to enchant, amuse, sadden or enlighten the reader You will be truly mesmerized. Enjoy!
